What an agent cannot do yet
When an agent is not running, and what is not available yet.
- An agent on your computer only runs while the computer is on and awake. Work waits until it is back.
- ChatGPT, Claude on claude.ai, Gemini and Muse only work when you open them, unless you gave them a scheduled task or a routine. Without one, Sprout shows the agent as not reachable once it is closed, and sends it a request only when you name it.
- To have work done while your computer is off, use an agent that does not need it: Sprout's own worker, ChatGPT with a scheduled task, a Claude routine, or Grok Bot.
- Not possible yet: an agent that runs in the background on a connection token, without your own sign-in.
- Requests to your own agents are being rolled out. If Sprout says they are not available for your family, it is not on for you yet.
