Child safety
The boundary
Children cannot contact Sprout directly, and all support goes through a parent. The kid app has no chat with Sprout, no contact form, and no way to reach any third party. There is no door for us to leave open by mistake.
We built it this way because the safest support inbox for a child is the one their parent owns. A support channel is a place where personal information gets shared, and under COPPA, and under our own bar for what is right, that exchange belongs between Sprout and you, the parent. Your child gets the help; you hold the conversation.
Our certification
Sprout participates in the PRIVO Kids Privacy Assured COPPA safe harbor certification Program. View our certification.
Raising a safety concern
If something in Sprout worries you as a parent, email support@sproutgoodhabits.com with “Safety” in the subject line. Safety messages go to the top of the queue.
As with bug reports, please do not include child photos, videos, voice recordings, task transcripts, full names, or birth dates. Describe the concern in your own words; if we need anything more, we will ask in a follow-up with instructions.
